1/15: Indoor Combined Events Championships
Congratulations to Cole Ciceran and Nathan Kowcun who earned gold and bronze in the U16 Boys Tetrathlon, respectively, and to Noah Dommasch who earned silver in the U18 Boys Pentathlon! Denis Tzvetkov also scored points for our club in the Pentathlon with a 5th place finish - just 30 points away from the podium. These great results cement our position as one of the top clubs in Ontario for combined events. Way to go!

2017 News
MTA Outdoor Highlights
In 2017, we began a program for grade 7-8 athletes allowing them to compete in meets sanctioned by the Minor Track Association and to become better prepared for high school track & field.
So far, our elementary athletes have earned 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 3 Bronze Medals. Keep up the great work!!
District B - 2017 Champions
Our club had an excellent showing again at the Royal Canadian Legion's District B Meet, winning first place in points out of the 34 registered teams. Five athletes were selected to compete at the RCL Provincial Championships in Windsor on July 14-15.

District B - Boys Champions - 2016
In our inaugual meet as the Thorold Elite Track Club, our boys finished first in points at the 2016 District B Meet. Four athletes were selected to compete in Timmins as part of the District team.
OFSAA Silver Medalist - 2016
Congratulations to Colton Spencer, who took home a silver medal at OFSAA in junior boys javelin with a personal best throw of 53.35 m!

7/22: AO BMY Championships
Our club took home 10 provincial medals at the AO BMY Championships in Windsor - more than any other Niagara club. Denis Tzvetkov also earned a silver medal at the Outdoor Combined Events Championships. Congratulations to all athletes on some great performances, club records, and personal bests!
7/8: Flying Angels Meet Records
Congratulations to Daniel Swayze, Noah Dommasch, Nathan D'Costa, and Denis Tzvetkov who earned 6 meet records between them at the Flying Angels International Festival in Toronto.
2/18/2018: AO Youth/ Senior Championships
We had a successful weekend at the AO Indoor Championship. Congratulations to Noah Dommasch who jumped his way to a silver medal in Youth Boys High Jump and to DeAndre Fournier who earned a bronze in Youth Boys Triple Jump with a PB and new club record of 13.18 m. All athletes scored team points and we finished 9th out of over 40 clubs for Youth points.
2/9/2018: Team Ontario
Congratulations to Hayden Zeppetella who was selected as part of Team Ontario for the ON vs QB Dual Meet on February 17. Hayden jumped a PB of 10.68 m . In the end, Ontario and Quebec tied in their final scores so all athletes took home a gold medal.

MTA Athlete Award
Congratulations to Daniel Swayze who was selected as one of the recipients of the Rick Westwood Athlete of Excellence Award- recognizing outstanding athletes under 14 across Ontario. Since starting track last spring Daniel has taken home twelve medals and countless ribbons, and has also had one of the top 10 performances of all time in Senior Boys Discus.
March Break Training Camp
We are excited to be offering our first warm weather training camp in sunny Clermont, FL from March 7-14, 2018. Check back on our website after the training camp for photos!
2/9: Indoor Youth Championships
Our club had a great weekend at the Indoor Youth Championships - finishing 5th in points out of all clubs in this age category. Congratulations to medalists Matthew Tint (gold in U18 boys high jump), Noah Dommasch (silver in U18 boys high jump & triple jump), Denis Tzvetkov (bronze in U18 boys 60 m hurdles), and our 4x800 relay team of Jeremiah, Ryan, Maddox, and Mason (silver).
Congratulations as well to Cole Ciceran and Daniel Swayze who were selected for TeamOntario at the invitiational dual meet!
2/15: MTA Athlete Award
Congratulations to Daniel Swayze who received the MTA Rick Westwood Athlete of Excellence Award for the second year in a row. Last summer, Daniel was the MTA Champion in discus and javelin. His results in the throws placed him in the top 3 of all time in Ontario for these events. Way to go! We are very proud!
