Future Track Stars

Grades 2 & Under

Learn the FUNdamentals of track & field with this introductory program that teaches the basics of running, jumping, and throwing and incorporates games and activities that use the skills taught

Who This Program Is For

Beginner Athletes

Running, jumping, and throwing are all fundamental movements that are a part of other sports. If you want to stay active and improve your physical literacy then we encourage you to join the Future Track Stars program! 

Busy Families

Two 1-hour sessions per week is ideal for young, busy families who may also be trying out other activities; track & field is a great supplement activity

Future Track Stars Training

Note that although this is intended as a RECREATIONAL program there are opportunities for athletes who are included to try competing

 

Head Coach: Lauren Hoogasian    Assistant Coaches: Sandy Huibers, Angelo Concolino

Typical Week: 2 practices including fun and game based running, jumping, and throwing

Current Schedule: Mondays 6 pm @ Canada Games Park, Wednesdays 6 pm @ Canada Games Park

Summer Camps

Ages 6-13

Location: Canada Games Park 

FULL DAY 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

MORNING ONLY 8:30 am to 12:00 pm (Pick up between 12 and 12:30 pm)  

  • Track and Field component in the morning 

  • Other camp games and activities in the afternoons (sports, beach volleyball, swimming at Brock Pool included on Thursday afternoons) 

  • Pizza provided for all campers on Fridays
