Thorold Elite Launches Sunday Jumps Academy and Elite-Level Jumping Program
We are proud to offer a high performance Jumps program for some of Niagara's top and up-and-coming jumpers. We spend 3 hours on Sunday afternoons, from 2-5 pm at Bullett Proof Sports Park in Welland, working with our vertical and horizontal jumpers. Here we have indoor high jump mats, plyometric boxes, hurdles, and other training tools and equipment needed to offer a comprehensive training experience for our jumpers. Athletes are broken down into smaller groups and train with a low athlete to coach ratio.
In addition, combined with former high jump national champion Jason Pilkington, we offer an elite level jumping program designed to build strength and increase vertical jumping ability in our high jumpers (as well as basketball or volleyball players - anyone aspiring to become a better jumper!). The program runs 3x a week at Crossfit905 in Niagara Falls (4256 Carroll Ave off of Thorold Stone Rd): Mondays 8-9:30 pm, Thursdays 7-8:30 pm, and Saturdays 11 am-12:30 pm. Phase 2 will resume early in March when indoor facilities reopen and will run for 8 weeks. To sign up for the program, please contact us or click here.

Thorold Elite Receives JumpStart Sport Relief Fund Grant
Thorold Elite Tops First Round of NXT CHAMP Invitational Invites
We are very grateful and excited to share that Thorold Elite TC has been selected by Canadian Tire JumpStart to receive a grant from the Sports Relief Fund. The fund helps community sport organizations like ours continue to provide access to sport and play for Canadian kids. This grant will go a long way towards helping us on our mission to continue providing the best opportunities in track and that high-quality training and competition opportunities continue to be available to the entire community! We are very thankful to Canada Tire and Jumpstart for helping to remove barriers and for the positive impact they have had on over 700 organizations and many 1000s of Canadian youth. We know that sport and recreation are more important than ever, and we are proud to provide awesome local programming for all events in track.
With the OFSAA High School Track & Field Championships CANCELLED for the second year in a row, Ontario's top track athletes will instead be competing at the NXT CHAMP Invitational which aims to bring together the Top 12 competitors in each event for a high-performance opportunity. The meet will take place June 18-20 at the Toronto Track & Field Centre.
We are proud that our athletes received the highest number of invites in the first round of invitations out of all clubs in the province. A total of 37. And additional athletes included in the second round who were missed in the initial data. Congratulations to the following athletes for being among the top in their events: Carson Gauthier (7 invites); Denis Tzvetkov (4); Gavin Stone (4); Kaleb Kennedy (3); Matthew Kleinsmith (3); Caleb Grover (2); Tommy Dallman (2); Michael Ivanov (2); Victoria Massoom (2); Tyrese Gibson (1); Nathan Kowcun (1); Gwen Cudmore (1); Sammy Tonnies (1); Daniel Swayze (1); Ava Neumann (1); Madelyn Schwartz (1); and Cassie Orr (1). Way to go!!
