SPONSORSHIP

7/22: AO BMY Championships
Our club took home 10 provincial medals at the AO BMY Championships in Windsor - more than any other Niagara club. Congratulations to all athletes on some great performances, club records, and personal bests!

Bottle Drive
Please support our efforts to keep our costs affordable by donating any empty liquor cans or bottles. This is an ongoing fundraiser. Please click here for more information.

6/9: OFSAA Championships
We had 12 athletes compete at the OFSAA Track & Field Championships in Toronto - more than any other Niagara club. Congratulations to our athletes on winning 4 OFSAA medals (1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze)!

3/13: March Break Training Camp
We just returned from an amazing week of warm-weather training in sunny Clermont, FL. We can't wait to return to the National Training Centre in March 2019. For more information about next year's trip please click here.

1/19: Indoor Combined Events Championships
Congratulations to Cole Ciceran and Nathan Kowcun who earned gold and bronze in the U16 Boys Tetrathlon, respectively, and to Noah Dommasch who earned silver in the U18 Boys Pentathlon! Denis Tzvetkov also scored points for our club in the Pentathlon with a 5th place finish - just 30 points away from the podium. These great results cement our position as one of the top clubs in Ontario for combined events. Way to go!
8/13: DeAndre Crowned National Champion
In August 2018, we competed at the Legion National Championships in Brandon, Manitoba. A huge congratulations to DeAndre Fournier who won gold in youth boys triple jump with a best jump of 14.37 m. DeAndre's winning jump was a PB and club
record! Special mention to Daniel Swayze
who threw another PB in midget boys
javelin (46.50 m) - a throw that would have
won OFSAA this year among grade 9 boys.
Thank you to all athletes who competed as
part of our group for a great, fun, and
successful trip. Well done! For more about
our top athletes' achievements please visit
the Athlete Spotlight section.
11/11: AO Cross Country Championships
Congratulations to all of our athletes who competed at the AO XC Championships at Seneca College in King City!

8/5: Ontario Summer Games
We had 11 athletes selected to participate in the Ontaro
Summer Games. Due to prior commitments, only 7 of
those were able to compete. Team Ontario East was
represented by Tyrese Gibson, Nathan Kowcun, and
Denis Tzvetkov while Team Ontario West was represented
by Jonathan Berisha, Tavon Pulema, Carson Rogers, and Daniel Swayze. The athletes made new friends and had an unforgettable experience competing against some of the best track athletes in the province. In the end, Team Ontario East won the meet by just over 30 points. Special mention to Daniel Swayze who threw 3 personal bests and solidified his position as the top-ranked U15 boy javelin thrower in all of Canada!

2/9: Indoor Youth Championships
Our club had a great weekend at the Indoor Youth Championships - finishing 5th in points out of all clubs in this age category. Congratulations to medalists Matthew Tint (gold in U18 boys high jump), Noah Dommasch (silver in U18 boys high jump & triple jump), Denis Tzvetkov (bronze in U18 boys 60 m hurdles), and our 4x800 relay team of Jeremiah, Ryan, Maddox, and Mason (silver).
Congratulations as well to Cole Ciceran and
Daniel Swayze who were selected for Team
Ontario at the invitiational dual meet!

WHY THOROLD ELITE?
A Club for Everyone
Don't be fooled by the name... Although we originated in Thorold, we have athletes from all across Niagara and from many schools, including Governor Simcoe, the DSBN Academy, Thorold Secondary, Eden, and more! We are welcoming to all athletes and have members ranging from grade 3 to grade 12+. The majority of athletes are age 12-17 but we are happy to customize a program for younger and older athletes to meet their needs!
Putting Athletes First
At Thorold Elite, we are committed to working with athletes to provide flexible training that helps them towards their goals while also considering their own individual needs, schedules, and commitments.
Removing Barriers
We are committed to growing the track community in Niagara and providing opportunities to athletes who might not otherwise be able to be part of a club or be able to access quality training or competition opportunities. We keep our costs and fees affordable for all members and families.
