The Thorold Elite Track & Field Club is pleased to thank and recognize Wormald Masse Keen Lopinski LLP as our first official SILVER level corporate sponsor. WMKL – Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors – located on Lake Street in St. Catharines, has a proud history of supporting local sports. Their generous donation will help us to continue to provide priceless experiences and opportunities to our track athletes throughout the Niagara community.
Since its establishment in 2016, Thorold Elite has taken the track world by storm with success at all levels of competition and rapid growth to over 50 athletes including runners, jumpers, throwers, hurdlers, and multi-eventers. We have been District B champions three years in a row at the local Legion meet; we have produced numerous OFSAA medalists and provincial champions both indoor and outdoor. Most recently, we took home 10 provincial medals at the Athletics Ontario Bantam Midget Youth Championships in Windsor. Our club has been represented at the Ontario Summer Games and at Legion Nationals in Manitoba. Several of our athletes are among the top-ranked in the country in their events. This is only the beginning of what we can achieve with shared goals, vision, and teamwork and partnerships to see that vision to become reality.
It is our goal to reach a total of $25,000 through corporate sponsorship. Such an amount would elevate our team and our program to the next level, alleviating some of the obstacles we continue to face. We are looking to raise funds to cover costs of purchasing equipment, training costs (ie. practice facility rentals and transportation, training clinics or camps), competition costs (ie. entry fees and travels costs for meets), and to subsidize membership costs for athletes with financial need. We continue to seek out additional sponsors and partnerships from the local community, and we strongly believe in our program and our athletes.
